Although the region currently contributes a modest share to global revenue, Damiani said the company sees the Middle East as a fast-maturing luxury arena where clientele recognize craftsmanship, value origin stories and treat investment-grade jewelry as both cultural expression and personal reward. Alongside Dubai Mall’s relaunch, the brand is opening a boutique in Bahrain’s Marassi Galleria Mall and preparing a second Dubai location as well as its first in Abu Dhabi before the end of spring. Dubai Jewellery News: Damiani, one of Italy’s most storied fine jewelry houses, has doubled down on the Gulf region with a glittering relaunch of its Dubai Mall boutique, an event headlined by acclaimed actor and brand ambassador Jessica Chastain. The ribbon cutting marked more than a boutique refresh — it signaled a milestone in the company’s strategy to meet Middle Eastern clients closer to home and tell its story through design, craft and experience. The excitement at the opening spread quickly across the trade. This Dubai Jewellery News report notes that Damiani’s store relaunch in Dubai marks a move in a wider regional expansion. Establishing a stronger footprint in the UAE allows the brand to deliver its heritage narrative directly, rather than relying on tourism-driven sales. Although the region currently contributes a modest share to global revenue, Damiani said the company sees the Middle East as a fast-maturing luxury arena where clientele recognize craftsmanship, value origin stories and treat investment-grade jewelry as both cultural expression and personal reward. A Boutique Designed as a Private Treasure Chamber The renovated 1,905-square-foot boutique follows the brand’s newest design language first debuted in Milan. The palette blends brushed gold surfaces, cream and rich brown accents, complemented by warm lighting that softens the grandeur. Guests move through Calacatta marble portals into a gallery anchored by a decorative wall inspired by Damiani’s “Belle Époque” collection, evoking the era when jewelry, film and artistry collided. Jessica Chastain helps Damiani spotlight Dubai as the next frontier of luxury jewelry. Image Credit: Damiani Handcrafted walnut cabinetry displaying select Venini glass pieces underscores Damiani’s connection to Italy’s applied arts. Rounded counters, soft seating upholstered in Dedar textiles and curved sightlines create an atmosphere closer to a private residence than a traditional retail store. Floating above it all, a historic Venini Poliedri chandelier originally conceived by Carlo Scarpa in the 1950s washes the space in amber light, reinforcing the marriage of past mastery and contemporary luxury. Craftsmanship Meets Live Demonstration Dubai Mall also becomes the newest stop on Damiani’s international “Ode all’Italia” high jewelry showcase, introduced in Rome and previously shown in Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul, Kuwait City and Paris. Visitors will encounter not only rare one-of-a-kind pieces but also live demonstrations by a master goldsmith from the company’s Valenza atelier — a small window into the hand-setting, engraving and soldering traditions that define the house. The New Interiors of The Damiani Boutique in Dubai Image Credit: Damiani For Damiani, this immersive approach resonates strongly. The brand has found that clients in the region are among the world’s most discerning and well-informed, eager for detail on stones, provenance and history. Dubai’s identity as a global crossroads — where expatriates make up roughly 90 percent of residents — fuels competition and taste-making in the luxury sector, creating what Damiani describes as an energetic environment in which heritage houses can thrive. Rapid Expansion Across the Gulf Alongside Dubai Mall’s relaunch, the brand is opening a boutique in Bahrain’s Marassi Galleria Mall and preparing a second Dubai location as well as its first in Abu Dhabi before the end of spring. These moves build on recent stores in Kuwait City, Riyadh and Doha and mark the most concentrated Middle Eastern rollout in the company’s history. Beyond the Gulf, Damiani’s strongest growth continues to come from Japan, South Korea and Italy, with East Asian markets broadening. While the company maintains a significant presence in South America, the United States remains a future target described as highly demanding and carefully paced. Strong Numbers and Shifting Global Taste For fiscal 2025, ending March 31, 2026, the Damiani Group — which includes Salvini, Bliss, Calderoni, Rocca and Venini — expects single-digit growth following fiscal 2024 revenue of 380 million euros, up more than 10 percent year on year. Executives attribute the momentum to a wider shift: consumers increasingly favor branded fine jewelry for longevity, status and transparency. As global buyers pivot from unbranded pieces toward maisons with heritage and guarantees, the Middle East stands out as a region ready to shape the next era of high jewelry appreciation, buoyed by affluence, internationalism and a deepening understanding of craft, culture and value.
