Sothebys Unveils Spectacular Jewelry Collection for Sale in December Auction

Sotheby’s is preparing to auction a dazzling private jewelry collection estimated at more than US$8 million, offering collectors and connoisseurs a rare opportunity to acquire pieces of historical and artistic significance. The event, titled A Legacy of Elegance: Jewels from an Exceptional Collection, will feature over 60 carefully curated items from some of the world’s most respected jewelry houses.

Iconic masterpieces headline the sale

Among the most anticipated pieces is a Boucheron necklace valued at up to US$2 million. This breathtaking creation is set with approximately 40 carats of cushion-shaped rubies and about 65 carats of old mine and old European-cut diamonds, enriched further by delicate single-cut diamond accents. Complementing this showpiece are other rare designs, including a pair of JAR diamond ear clips inspired by frost, set with pear-shaped diamonds and branches of round diamonds, with a high estimate of US$700,000.

Quig Bruning, Sotheby’s head of jewels for the Americas, Europe, the Middle East and Africa, described the collection as a tribute to the greatest artisans of jewelry. He highlighted its combination of rarity, impeccable provenance, and bold design, spanning creations from the late 19th century through to modern masterpieces.
